Boarding your dog is a trust decision. The tools for it are ad platforms.

When you search for dog boarding, the results you see are shaped by who paid: marketplaces take booking commissions, review sites sell placement, and ad budgets decide visibility. None of that tells you where your dog will be safe and happy for a week.

DogDnB is the boring alternative: a public index of 1,350 boarding and daycare providers across 23 US metros, ranked by a published formula over public review data. Facilities can’t pay to move up. Owners get a defensible shortlist in one page; operators get judged on their work instead of their ad spend.

The operating principles

• Show the evidence. Every rating comes with its review count and a link to the live source profile.
• Publish the math. The full scoring formula, its constants, and its limitations are documented and versioned.
• Honest empty states. Not enough reviews? The listing says so. City not covered? We say that too, instead of padding results.
• Free for operators. Claiming and correcting a listing costs nothing. If we ever sell anything, it will be clearly labeled and separate from rankings.
